    Tried following the steps on saving document presets in InDesign CC 2019 as shown, but it never retained my settings after closing and reopening the program. Seems like the preset just resets to default no matter what I do. Anyone else facing this or is it something with my version?

    I think bleed in CorelDraw is the extra space added around your design to make sure nothing important gets cut off when printing? So maybe setting the bleed correctly before adding crop marks in the macro helps the print shop know where to trim. Not 100% sure, but that’s what I gathered from some tutorials.

    Tried watching your video but the steps didn’t work for me. The Selection and Story menus are still missing from the Find and Replace dropdown in my InDesign 2021 version. I even reset preferences and restarted the app but no luck. Feels like this might be a bug or something related to my document’s setup rather than just a simple UI glitch. Anyone else facing this? 🙂

    @Rakesh Bhardwaj Same here with CorelDRAW 2017. I tried resetting the thumbnail cache and even reinstalling, but the .CDR thumbnails just won’t show up. It’s really frustrating because the .CPT previews work perfectly, so it must be something specific to the new version’s handling of the old files. Tried installing some third-party thumbnailers but no luck either.

    Maybe the issue is with how the colors are saved in the SVG? I think Illustrator sometimes exports colors as CMYK by default, and SVG needs RGB. You might want to check your color settings or convert the colors before exporting. Not sure if that helps though!

    Tried following the part about drop caps in InDesign CC 2019, but the dropdown for drop cap lines and characters just doesn’t seem to work right for me. Even after resetting preferences, the drop cap wouldn’t apply correctly; it either affects the whole paragraph or nothing at all. Anyone else facing this in the 2019 version? Feels like a bug or an overlooked setting.

    I think to open the Glyphs panel in InDesign CC, you might need to go to the Window menu, then Type & Tables, and then select Glyphs? After that, you can probably double-click any character in the panel to insert it into your text. I’m not sure if the recent glyphs automatically show up somewhere, maybe there’s a way to customize that in preferences, but I haven’t found it yet. Hope that helps a bit!

    @Rakesh Bhardwaj I faced the same issue when upgrading from X5 to X8. What worked for me was repairing the shell extension responsible for the CDR previews. I ran the CorelDraw installer again but selected the ‘Repair’ option, and after that, the thumbnails started showing up consistently in Windows Explorer. It seems newer versions sometimes overwrite or disable the older preview handlers, so a repair fix resets it.

    Just a quick note: GREP styles can help with widows and orphans, but they can’t completely prevent them because they’re based on text patterns, not actual line breaks. For better control, combining GREP with paragraph composer settings and adjusting tracking or using non-breaking spaces might be necessary. So, relying solely on GREP won’t fully fix all widow and orphan issues.

    Photoshop CC 2023 has introduced some new brush engine optimizations, but they can sometimes conflict with Wacom drivers on Windows 11. Try updating your Wacom driver to the latest version first, as older drivers often cause lag issues. If that doesn’t help, go into Photoshop’s Performance settings and disable “Use Graphics Processor” temporarily to see if the lag improves—GPU acceleration can sometimes interfere with tablet input. Also, ensure Windows Ink is enabled in your Wacom tablet settings, as disabling it can cause stroke delays.

    @Rakesh Bhardwaj I think you might be able to layout a document by finding specific text patterns and then replacing them with paragraph breaks or tabs. Maybe using special characters like ^p for paragraph marks in the Find and Replace dialog could help format the sections automatically? Not totally sure if that’s the right approach, but seems like it could work for changing the structure.

    If the client forgot to embed or outline the fonts, simply running a macro won’t fix the font issue before printing. You’ll need to either get the fonts installed on your system or convert the text to outlines manually in a program like Adobe Illustrator or InDesign. Otherwise, the print job might substitute fonts or cause weird formatting.

    Tried following the tutorial on setting margins and bleed size exactly as shown, but my bleed never prints correctly—it’s like InDesign ignores the settings when exporting the PDF. Not sure if it’s a version issue or if I’m missing some export option. Anyone else seeing this?

वहां आपको “Bring to Front” या “Send to Back” जैसे विकल्प मिलेंगे, जिनसे आप ऑब्जेक्ट की लेयरिंग आसानी से कंट्रोल कर सकते हैं।

    I ran into the same issue with overlaying text elements in the HUD mods. What helped me was switching from the default font rendering to a bitmap font, which seemed to handle layering better without flickering. It might not be perfect if you’re aiming for dynamic text changes, but for static labels, it cleaned things up a lot.

    Actually, just to clarify, when you group objects in CorelDraw, it doesn’t merge them into a single object like in some other software; it simply links them so they move and scale together but can still be edited individually when ungrouped. Also, grouping helps keep your workspace organized, but if you need to apply effects or transformations to individual elements inside the group, you’ll have to ungroup them first.

    The upside-down or odd angles issue usually happens because of the direction your path is drawn in Illustrator. Try using the Direct Selection Tool (white arrow) to select the path, then look for the small arrowhead that shows the path’s direction. If the arrow points the wrong way, use the “Type on a Path Options” menu and check “Flip” to invert the text orientation, or reverse the path direction by cutting and pasting the path in reverse order. This should fix the text alignment without having to redraw your path.

    For working with tables in InDesign CC 2019, remember that rows and columns can be adjusted by dragging the cell borders, or by specifying exact measurements in the Table panel. If you’re creating tables from scratch, you can use the Table menu to insert rows or columns, but if you’re importing from Excel, the layout might need some tweaking afterward. Also, keep an eye on cell styles to keep your table formatting consistent rather than adjusting each cell manually. This approach saves a lot of time when working on larger documents.

    Just a quick note regarding CorelDraw and printing: when preparing your files, it’s crucial to convert all text to curves before exporting to ensure fonts don’t shift or get substituted during printing. Also, make sure your color mode is set to CMYK, not RGB, since most printers work in CMYK. The article covers a lot, but these little adjustments can save headaches later on.

    Hey, I’ve definitely had my fair share of headaches exporting vector logos from Illustrator—colors shifting or unexpected pixelation drove me nuts at one point. A few months back, I started using ChatGPT to troubleshoot those exact issues. What helped the most was asking it specific questions like “Why does my exported SVG from Illustrator lose color accuracy?” or “How can I prevent distortion when saving EPS files?” It usually gave me clear, step-by-step explanations and even pointed out common pitfalls, like checking color profiles or making sure to expand appearances before export.

    One time, I was struggling with spot colors getting converted to CMYK unintentionally, and the chatbot helped me realize I needed to adjust the export settings and save with the right color mode. It’s not perfect and sometimes you want to double-check with Adobe forums or tutorials, but it’s a great quick guide to test fixes and understand the problem better. I’d say pairing AI help with a bit of hands-on testing sped up my troubleshooting process quite a bit. Definitely worth trying if you want a second opinion without sifting endlessly through manuals!
