October is ending, and with it comes one of the most atmospheric updates in GTA 5 RP—the Halloween Update.
This year, the developers have gone all-in on spooky ambience, new gameplay systems, fun challenges, exclusive rewards, and limited-time vehicles that you can earn only through the event.
If you’re planning to dive in, or you simply want a detailed walkthrough of everything added this season, this guide will walk you through the full Halloween experience—from the new Karma System to ghost events, candy farming, and brand-new shops.
Let’s take it step by step and understand every feature in detail.
The Entire Game Has Shifted Into Halloween Mode
Before we explore features, we need to acknowledge just how drastically the game’s atmosphere has changed.
As soon as you log in, you’ll notice something different.
The environment transforms into a dark, fog-filled, rainy world with eerie music and flashing lights. Everything—from weather to ambient sound—leans into the Halloween theme.
If glowing outfits or flickering skies aren’t your style, you can simply open your Settings by pressing M and toggle the weather override off. But honestly, the atmosphere feels so immersive that most players keep it on.
Across major locations—Capitol Building, DOC, SHP, and other legal faction HQs—you’ll find:
- Pumpkins
- Fog
- Scattered bones
- Ghosts
- Broken trees
- A full Halloween lighting overhaul
This visual shift sets the stage for what comes next.
A New Haunted Mansion Has Arrived
Let’s move to one of the most exciting additions: the Halloween Mansion.
Placed near the lighthouse, this enormous structure includes:
- A complete explorable interior
- Multiple rooms
- Dark corridors
- A custom-built bridge leading to the house
- Enough space for hide and seek, PvP, or roleplay sessions
This mansion is not just a visual prop—it’s a playground for creative events and player-made activities.
Introducing the Karma System: Light vs. Dark
Now, let’s dive into the biggest new mechanic this season—the Karma System.
To understand Halloween rewards, you must understand how Karma works.
🌟 How Karma Works
Just like real life, your actions define whether you fall under:
- Light Karma → positive actions
- Dark Karma → negative actions
Every player online in the city is accumulating Karma constantly based on what they do—helping players, cursing players, blessing locations, stealing candy, gifting candy, etc.
🌙 Why Karma Matters
At the end of every hour:
- If your Karma matches the city’s overall Karma
→ you earn 2,500 candies - If your Karma does not match
→ you earn no extra candies
Your goal is to align your behaviour with the general mood of the server.
You’ll see:
- Your personal Karma
- The city’s collective Karma
- A reset timer
Everything resets every hour.
⚖️ Karma Cancels Out
If you bless someone (Light) and then immediately steal candy (Dark):
- Your karma resets to zero
- You lose progress
So you need to be intentional about your actions.
Tasks & Missions: How to Earn Candies Efficiently
Let’s now explore the activities you can do to collect candies, Karma, and rewards.
1. Broom Race (Once Per Day)
Before listing the steps, it’s worth mentioning that this is one of the easiest candy sources.
You will:
- Be teleported to a custom Halloween track
- Ride a broom (actually a re-skinned Oppressor)
- Fly through checkpoints
- Finish within 3 minutes (usually takes 2)
Reward: 10,000 candies
2. Attack or Defend the Altar (Every Hour)
This is a chaotic team event.
- If you have Light Karma → You defend
- If you have Dark Karma → You attack
- You will be placed in a random team automatically
Objective:
- Attackers → Destroy the altar
- Defenders → Protect it
Reward: 5,000 candies
3. Bless or Curse a Player (Once Per Hour)
When you walk up to another player and press G, you can choose to:
- Bless → Give them temporary abilities
- Curse → Give them temporary disadvantages
Bless effects include:
- Super running
- High jumping
- 25% attack juice buff
- 25% defense buff
- Full instant health
Curse effects include:
- Slow movement
- Upside-down HUD
- Random falling when jumping
- Transformation into a pig (!)
Reward: 5,000 candies + Light or Dark Karma
4. Give Candy or Steal Candy From Houses
This is a trick-or-treat mechanic.
- Visit houses
- Choose to Gift candy (Light Karma)
- Or Steal candy (Dark Karma)
Reward: 5,000 candies
5. Bless or Curse Marked Locations (Every 10 Minutes)
Certain map markers appear every 10 minutes.
Go there, press G, and either:
- Bless → Light Karma
- Curse → Dark Karma
Reward: 1,500 candies + Karma
6. Bless or Curse the Halloween Ghost
Another special event.
Find the ghost through your Route menu.
Press G to bless or curse:
- Bless → Ghost rises into the air
- Curse → Ghost sinks into the ground
Reward: 5,000 candies + Karma
7. Take or Give Candy to Players (Once Per Hour)
This involves real players:
- Steal → Get all their candy (Dark)
- Gift → You get half of 5,000, they get the other half (Light)
Reward: Up to 5,000 candies + Karma
The Halloween Shop: What You Can Buy With Candies
Let’s talk about the purpose of all these candies.
🎃 Halloween Store Rewards
You can buy:
- Exclusive cars
- Halloween-themed outfits
- Glow accessories
- Backpacks
- Masks
- Props
The premium car costs 5,000,000 candies, meaning you’ll need to grind heavily or convert other resources.
You can also exchange in-game:
- Seeds
- Emeralds
- Stones
- Rare resources
These items’ value will rise rapidly during the event due to high demand.
A direct purchase option exists where 1 GC = 4500 candies, but it becomes extremely expensive (1100+ GC for one car), so it’s usually not worth it.
New Fall Containers & Halloween Containers
Two new Fall Containers have been added:
1. Regular Fall Container (10 GC)
Includes cars, clothes, items—but not particularly impressive.
2. Halloween Container (7 GC)
Much better value:
- Classic Halloween car
- Burger car
- Scooby car
- Vintage outfits
- Returning rare items
- Ped skins
This is one of the most rewarding containers in terms of value per GC.
New Business: Tool Store
A new business has also landed—the Tool Store.
You can:
- Buy furniture
- Decorate apartments
- Decorate houses
- Avoid long travel to lumber yards
It was in auction during the update launch and will likely become a high-demand business.
New DOC Jobs & Prison Guard Role
For players landing in DOC (prison), new features are added.
You can now:
- Take jobs from the Warden NPC
- Do tasks like ironing clothes, cooking food, cleaning showers
- Earn money
- Reduce your sentence
Additionally, a Prison Guard job has been added with salaries integrated into payout systems.
Store Robbery Improvements
24/7 stores can now be robbed using a Crowbar purchased from the store.
You must:
- Trigger the robbery
- Survive police response
- Escape successfully
Rewards include:
- 3 random juices
- Secret ticket fragments
Daily and Seasonal Rewards
Until 26 October, if you play 5 hours daily, you get 15 GC per day.
A special 50-hour reward car is also active:
🚗 Pfister MGSL RS
Earned after completing 50 hours in 16 days (~3 hours per day)
Additional Small Updates
Here are a few finishing touches added in this patch:
- New cursor styles (pointer, typing icon)
- Improved handling for Bgati DVO
- Contraband Machines now support 9 modules and include a new wood module
- Car wash redesign: buy sponge → wash car anywhere
- Businesses still allow customers even if the product is out of stock (but owners earn nothing until restocked)
Optional Q&A Section
Q1: How do I know which Karma to choose—Light or Dark?
Follow the city’s overall Karma on your menu. Match it to earn hourly candy bonuses.
Q2: Which task gives the most candies?
The Broom Race offers the highest single payout—10,000 candies.
Q3: What’s the fastest way to reach 5 million candies?
A mix of:

- Trading resources for candies
Consistency matters more than speed.
