Just a quick note: while the video covers how to use Tabs in InDesign CC 2019, the “repeat Tabs” feature isn’t exactly a built-in function but more of a workaround by setting tab stops manually or copying paragraph styles with tab settings. So, if you’re expecting an automatic repeat tabs button, that might be a misunderstanding. The Align to setting is also context-sensitive, so make sure your text frame or margins are selected correctly for it to work as expected.

Tried your GREP approach for fixing widows in my InDesign layout and it definitely sped up the process compared to manual fixes. Just a heads up, it didn’t catch every single orphan line in my multi-column spreads, so I had to do a quick manual pass afterward. Still, much faster overall!

When working with curves in CorelDRAW, make sure you’re using the Bézier or Pen tool rather than the freehand tool for more precise control. Also, check if “Snap to Objects” is enabled—this helps align your shapes and points accurately. Adjusting the curve handles carefully after placing nodes will give you smoother and cleaner lines.

Same issue here with Photoshop 2024 on Windows 10. The Style Transfer filter just makes the app freeze and then crash without any warning or error message. Tried updating my graphics drivers and even resetting preferences, but nothing helped so far. Really frustrating that Adobe didn’t address this in the latest patch. 👍

I tried using the same macro with my double-sided ID card layout in CorelDraw and ran into some issues where the shortcut key wouldn’t trigger the macro on the second page. What worked for me was reassigning the shortcut directly from the Tools > Options > Customization menu instead of relying on the video’s method. After that, the macro ran smoothly on both the photo and instruction pages without needing to manually switch pages. Maybe give that a shot?

The slow boot on Windows 10 could be caused by too many startup programs running in the background. Try opening Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc), go to the Startup tab, and disable unnecessary programs. Also, running a disk cleanup or checking for driver updates might help speed things up. If the problem persists, it might be worth running “sfc /scannow” in an elevated Command Prompt to fix possible system file corruption.

I had the same issue after upgrading to Photoshop CC 2023 on Windows 11 with my Wacom Intuos Pro. What helped for me was disabling Windows Ink in the Wacom Tablet Properties and then enabling Windows Ink support inside Photoshop preferences under the Performance tab. It seemed to reduce the brush lag significantly, though not completely perfect. Worth trying if you haven’t already!

Actually, CorelDraw is more than just desktop publishing software; it’s primarily a vector graphic design tool used for creating illustrations, logos, and layouts. While DTP features exist, its core strength lies in vector-based drawing and page layout, so if you’re focusing only on publishing, other software might be more specialized.

For updating drivers on Windows 10, the easiest way is to use Device Manager and let it search automatically, but for better results, visit your laptop manufacturer’s website and download the latest drivers directly. For Hindi fonts, you can add them through Windows Settings by going to Time & Language > Language > Add a language, then choose Hindi—this will install fonts and keyboard layouts. For handling RAR and ZIP files, 7-Zip is a great free tool that supports both formats. Just make sure to download it from the official site to avoid bundled software.

When aiming for precise lines and shapes in CorelDRAW, make sure you’re working in the right resolution and using the snap-to-grid or snap-to-object features. Also, check if you’re accidentally using the freehand tool instead of the Bezier or Pen tool, which offers cleaner control over curves and angles. Sometimes adjusting the node editing after drawing can really help smooth out shapes without losing precision.

@KernelKnight AI chatbots can be pretty handy for troubleshooting Adobe Illustrator issues, especially for common problems like layer management, pathfinder errors, or file compatibility questions. For example, if you’re stuck on why a certain effect isn’t applying correctly, describing the issue to a chatbot can often yield suggestions about checking the appearance panel or the stacking order. Just keep in mind that AI advice sometimes misses nuance in complex workflows or version-specific bugs, so it’s good to double-check with official Adobe forums or documentation if something feels off.

I tried adding the macro to CorelDRAW Macro Manager like you said, but the QR codes weren’t generating properly in version 2021. It seemed like the macro didn’t fully integrate with the latest update. Maybe it works better on older versions? If anyone else got it working on the newest CorelDRAW, please share your workflow.

@Rakesh Bhardwaj I adjusted the margins in the New Document dialog before creating my pages, and it worked fine for setting consistent spacing. For bleed, I set it to 0.125 inches since that’s standard for most print shops, and the printer said it helped avoid white edges after trimming. Just make sure you set bleed and slug before starting your layout; changing them after can cause issues with the export settings.

in reply to: How to Change Default Object and Text Properties in CorelDraw #27159

@Rakesh Bhardwaj To change the default object and text properties in CorelDraw, you need to adjust the settings before creating a new object. For example, select the text tool and set the font, size, and color you want. Then, without clicking anywhere else, create your text box—CorelDraw will remember these as the new defaults. This works similarly for shapes and other objects: set their properties first, then draw. If you want these changes to persist even after restarting CorelDraw, make sure to save your current workspace or template with the updated settings.

@Rakesh Bhardwaj Tried using Find and Replace for layout like you said, but it totally messed up my spacing and alignment. Instead of fixing the document, it made headers overlap with paragraphs and the margins got all weird. Not sure if it’s because of my Word version or the way I applied it, but definitely not working as expected on my end.

Tried using Find and Replace to adjust my document layout as you showed, but it only replaced the text and didn’t seem to affect spacing or paragraph alignment. Maybe I missed a specific replace pattern or option like using special characters for tabs or line breaks? Would appreciate a bit more detail on which exact replace syntax to use for layout changes.

Tried following the video steps exactly, but the shortcut keys just don’t seem to save in my version of CorelDraw. It’s like the customization window doesn’t actually apply the changes when I hit OK. Using CorelDraw 2021, maybe this method only works in newer versions? Frustrating because I really need faster access to certain tools.

The Link Panel in InDesign primarily shows all the placed images and graphics in your document, along with their status and file paths. To find the image location, you can select the link in the panel and view its file path in the panel’s info section. When relinking, it’s best to use the Relink option in the panel, which will update the file path without breaking the link. However, the Link Panel itself doesn’t allow you to directly modify images—any editing needs to be done in the original external software, then refreshed in InDesign via the panel.

Just a quick note: if you’re new to simulator games, it might be helpful to start with titles that have adjustable difficulty or tutorial modes. Some games labeled as “easy to get into” can still have steep learning curves unless you tweak those settings. Also, keep in mind that “enjoyment” varies a lot depending on whether you want a relaxing experience or something more realistic and challenging.

Tried following that video exactly, but the auto crop marks didn’t load properly in my version of Illustrator. The script just throws an error about missing files or something about permissions. I double-checked the file path and tried running as admin, still no luck. Maybe it only works with older versions or there’s a step they skipped in the video. Frustrating!

In CorelDraw versions prior to X4, the autobackup interval isn’t as flexible as in later versions, so you might not be able to increase the backup frequency directly through settings. Instead, a practical workaround is to manually save your work more frequently or use external backup software to monitor changes. Also, keep in mind that very large files (like 500 MB+) can slow down autosave processes regardless of settings, so adjusting your workflow to save incrementally might help more than relying on autobackup alone.

@06345 222475 Adobe doesn’t have a product called “Table 3.0,” so you might be mixing up the name or version. If you meant Adobe Tableau or something related to tables in Adobe InDesign or Acrobat, those are separate tools and versions. Also, Adobe software typically isn’t free except for limited trials or Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is just a PDF viewer. Make sure you clarify the exact software name before searching for installation instructions. 👍
