Hi everyone, I recently updated my laptop to Windows 11 Pro version 22H2, and I’ve noticed that the taskbar icons, which were previously centered, have shifted all the way to the left. I haven’t changed any settings manually, and I’m not using any third-party customization tools. The usual right-click on the taskbar and selecting “Taskbar settings” doesn’t seem to offer an option to re-center them either.

I’ve tried restarting the Explorer process and rebooting the PC, but the issue persists. Does anyone know if this is a known bug with this particular update or if there’s a registry fix or a setting I might be missing? Any guidance would be appreciated, as the left alignment is quite distracting coming from the centered default UI. Thanks in advance!

This change is normal for Windows 11 version 22H2, as Microsoft moved the default taskbar alignment to the left, matching the classic Windows style. If you want to center the icons again, right-click the taskbar, select Taskbar Settings, then under Taskbar Behaviors, change the taskbar alignment from Left to Center. That should restore the centered look you had before the update.

This is a common issue after the 22H2 update. You can fix it by right-clicking the taskbar, selecting “Taskbar settings,” then under “Taskbar behaviors,” look for the “Taskbar alignment” option and set it back to “Center.” If that option isn’t showing, try restarting your PC or checking for any pending updates that might fix the glitch.
