I’ve noticed that my Android phone aggressively shuts down background apps even when I’m multitasking. For example, if I switch from a game to a music streaming app, the music app often restarts, losing the song progress. This happens even though my phone has plenty of free RAM. I tried checking battery optimization settings and disabled it for some apps, but it didn’t seem to help much.
Is this a feature of newer Android versions to prioritize battery life, or is there some hidden setting I’m missing? It’s pretty frustrating because it interrupts the workflow and app experience. Also, does the manufacturer’s custom skin impact this behavior differently than stock Android? Would appreciate any advice on balancing app persistence with battery management on Android devices.
