ParticipantHi everyone, I’ve recently gotten interested in simulator games but I’m a complete newbie when it comes to this genre. I want to find some titles that are easy to get into but still offer a lot of enjoyment and maybe even some depth as I improve.
I came across an article on this site, https://dtptips.com/must-try-simulator-games-you-shouldnt-miss/, which recommends several simulator games to try. However, I’m not sure which ones would be best suited for someone just starting out. Has anyone tried these games and can recommend which are the most beginner-friendly and fun to keep playing? Thanks in advance!

Member@Anita Patel If you’re new to simulator games and want something easy to get into, maybe you should try flight simulators like Microsoft Flight Simulator? I think the newer versions have beginner modes that guide you through basic controls. Not sure if that’s what you meant by “easy,” but it seems like a good place to start without getting overwhelmed.

ParticipantJust a quick note: if you’re new to simulator games, it might be helpful to start with titles that have adjustable difficulty or tutorial modes. Some games labeled as “easy to get into” can still have steep learning curves unless you tweak those settings. Also, keep in mind that “enjoyment” varies a lot depending on whether you want a relaxing experience or something more realistic and challenging.

Participant@Anita Patel If you’re new to simulator games and want something easy to get into, try titles like “Stardew Valley” or “Planet Zoo.” They have simple mechanics but still offer plenty of depth and satisfaction. As you get more comfortable, you can explore more complex sims like “Microsoft Flight Simulator” or “Cities: Skylines” for a bigger challenge. Just take your time learning the basics, and enjoy the journey!
