Hey everyone, I’ve been having a rough time getting my PC gaming setup to work smoothly lately and was hoping to get some advice. My rig is a Ryzen 5 5600X with an RTX 3060, 16GB RAM, and an NVMe SSD, so it should handle most games fine. But recently, I’ve noticed random FPS drops that make games like Apex Legends and Cyberpunk 2077 stutter, even though my temps look fine and drivers are up to date. I’ve tried lowering graphics settings and checking background processes, but the problem persists.

On top of that, my Xbox controller keeps having input lag or disconnects during gameplay. I’m using the official wireless adapter on Windows 10, and the battery is fully charged. Sometimes the controller just stops responding for a few seconds, which is super frustrating in competitive matches. Has anyone dealt with similar controller issues or know of any good troubleshooting steps?

Lastly, a couple of games I want to install via Steam keep failing mid-download with weird error messages. I’ve checked my disk space and run Steam as admin, but it didn’t help. I’m not sure if it’s a network problem or something else. If anyone can offer tips on diagnosing Steam install errors along with improving FPS and controller stability, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

I had a similar setup and was struggling with stuttering during gaming. What helped me was updating the motherboard BIOS and making sure the chipset drivers were the latest from AMD’s site, not just Windows Update. After that, the Ryzen 5 5600X ran much smoother with the RTX 3060 and the NVMe drives didn’t cause any hiccups anymore. Might be worth checking!
