Hi everyone, I recently updated to Photoshop 2023 on my Windows 11 PC, and I’ve been encountering a frustrating problem. Every time I try to use the brush tool, especially on larger canvases or with custom brushes, the program crashes without any warning. This started happening after the latest update, so I’m wondering if this is a known issue or if my system is the problem.

I’ve already checked my GPU drivers and made sure they are up to date. I’m running an Nvidia RTX 3060 with the latest driver version 531.68. My system has 16GB of RAM and is otherwise stable with other software. I tried disabling GPU acceleration in Photoshop’s performance settings, but the crashes keep occurring. Has anyone else faced this or have suggestions on specific settings I should tweak? Thanks in advance!

@Priya Das The crashing issue with the brush tool on larger canvases in Photoshop 2023 might also be related to GPU settings or outdated graphics drivers, not just the custom brushes. It’s worth checking if your GPU is supported by the latest Photoshop version and updating its driver. Additionally, try turning off the “Use Graphics Processor” option under Preferences > Performance to see if that stabilizes things.
