Is this the Google Input Tools software you’re talking about? I think it works by converting what you speak into Hindi text, but maybe you also have to install some language pack or switch the keyboard layout manually? Also, does it require an internet connection to work, or can it type offline too? I’m not sure how the “type as you speak” feature really functions in practice.

The software you’re referring to sounds like Google Input Tools, which indeed supports phonetic typing in Hindi. One thing to note is that it works best when your system language settings and keyboard layout are properly configured. If you want it to transcribe as you speak, you might actually need to use Google Voice Typing or Google Docs voice input feature instead, since Input Tools primarily converts typed phonetics to Hindi script rather than true speech recognition. Hope this helps clarify!
