      Hi guys!
Have you met this problem so far?

I’ve installed the new CDR 2017 and it completely removed all thumbnails but only with .CDR files! the .CPT files are just fine!
I’ve just tried uninstalling and re-installing, still remains… Hello. Hello. Dosto

This issue with CDR 2017 removing thumbnails for .CDR files is actually a known bug related to how the new version interacts with Windows Explorer’s thumbnail cache. One workaround is to manually clear your thumbnail cache via Disk Cleanup, then rebuild it by opening a folder with .CDR files again. Another thing to check is whether the file association for .CDR thumbnails got reset—sometimes reinstalling the software doesn’t restore the shell extension properly. If clearing the cache doesn’t help, try re-registering the thumbnail handler DLL by running a command like regsvr32 on the appropriate Corel shell extension file, though the exact DLL name can vary by installation.

@Rakesh Bhardwaj Same here with CorelDRAW 2017. I tried resetting the thumbnail cache and even reinstalling, but the .CDR thumbnails just won’t show up. It’s really frustrating because the .CPT previews work perfectly, so it must be something specific to the new version’s handling of the old files. Tried installing some third-party thumbnailers but no luck either.

@Rakesh Bhardwaj This is a known issue with CorelDRAW 2017 on some systems where the thumbnail cache for .CDR files doesn’t get rebuilt properly after installation. One workaround is to clear your thumbnail cache manually from Windows and then restart your machine. Also, check if your CorelDRAW installation has the latest updates, as Corel released patches addressing thumbnail display bugs. If that doesn’t work, try resetting CorelDRAW’s settings to default by holding down F8 during startup, which can sometimes restore proper thumbnail handling.
