Hey everyone, I recently updated Apex Legends to version 12.7 on my PC, and I noticed a significant drop in FPS during matches. Before the update, I was running a steady 100-120 FPS on a GTX 1660 Super with medium settings, but now my frame rates are hovering around 60-70, and sometimes I get stuttering during gunfights. I’ve already tried disabling Origin’s overlay and lowering graphics settings further, but it doesn’t seem to help much.

I’m wondering if anyone else experienced this after the update or if there’s a specific setting in the game’s advanced video options that might be causing these performance issues. Also, would updating my GPU drivers potentially fix this, or is this more likely to be a bug introduced with the patch? Any tips on how to optimize Apex post-update would be appreciated!

@Maya Singh Maybe the new update added some extra effects or background processes that your GTX 1660 Super struggles with? I think some games sometimes reset graphics settings after patches, so you could try turning everything down to low and then slowly increasing to find a good balance. Also, have you checked if your drivers are up to date? Sometimes outdated graphics drivers cause FPS drops after game updates.
