ParticipantI tried adding inset spacing in my table using Indesign CC 2019 as shown in the video, and it worked well once I realized the inset spacing settings are under Table Options > Cell Options. Just make sure to select the cells first; otherwise, the option stays greyed out. It definitely makes the table look cleaner without manually adjusting every cell.

Participant@Rakesh Bhardwaj Just a quick note: Adobe InDesign CC 2019’s table features for adding inset spacing are actually found in the Cell Options under Text, not directly in the Table panel. Also, when adding or deleting rows and columns, remember to select the specific row or column first, or the commands might not work as expected. This detail can be easy to miss for beginners.

ParticipantWhen working with tables in Adobe InDesign CC 2019, you can add or delete rows and columns by right-clicking inside the table and choosing the appropriate option under “Insert” or “Delete.” For inset spacing, select the entire table, then go to the Table Styles or Cell Options to adjust the cell insets, which control the padding inside each cell. Also, alternating row fills can be done using Table Styles to make your tables visually clearer without manually shading each row. This method saves time and keeps formatting consistent.
