I tried adding inset spacing in my table using Indesign CC 2019 as shown in the video, and it worked well once I realized the inset spacing settings are under Table Options > Cell Options. Just make sure to select the cells first; otherwise, the option stays greyed out. It definitely makes the table look cleaner without manually adjusting every cell.

Also, when adding or deleting rows and columns, remember to select the specific row or column first, or the commands might not work as expected. This detail can be easy to miss for beginners.
