Hi everyone, I’ve recently been feeling a bit uneasy about my WhatsApp account. Some of my contacts mentioned they received strange messages from me that I never sent. I’m worried my account might have been hacked but I’m not exactly sure what signs to look for or how to secure it properly.

@Priya Rao Maybe your WhatsApp got logged in on someone else’s phone? I think there’s a way to check active sessions in the settings somewhere. You could try logging out of all devices and then changing your password, if that’s even possible on WhatsApp? I’m not too sure about the exact steps though.

It sounds like someone might have gotten access to your WhatsApp, but have you tried logging out of all devices from WhatsApp Web? I think there’s an option in the settings where you can see all the active sessions and end them. Maybe that could stop those weird messages from being sent. Also, changing your password might help if they got in that way? Not totally sure if WhatsApp uses passwords or just your phone number though.
