I’m working on portraits where getting a clean hair selection is crucial, but it always takes forever to get a natural look. I usually start with the Select and Mask workspace and fine-tune the edge detection, but sometimes the strands still look too harsh or get lost against certain backgrounds. I’ve tried using the Refine Edge Brush tool, but it can be quite tedious when dealing with very fine or curly hair.

Are there any tips or shortcuts to speed this up without compromising quality? Maybe some lesser-known Photoshop features or tricks for handling hair edges more efficiently? Also, any advice on using layer masks effectively after the initial selection would be really helpful. I want to improve both accuracy and speed in my retouching process.
