I’m working on a long document with multiple chapters, and maintaining consistent formatting across all of them has been a headache. I usually set up paragraph styles for headings, subheadings, body text, and captions manually, but it feels tedious to replicate them exactly every time I start a new chapter file. Is there an efficient way to create and apply these styles so they remain uniform throughout the entire project?

Also, is it better to use a single InDesign file with chapters as separate sections, or have multiple files linked somehow? I’ve heard about using libraries or style groups but haven’t tried that yet. Any tips on organizing and managing paragraph styles to avoid accidental overrides or inconsistencies would be really appreciated!
