ParticipantI’ve recently started using CorelDRAW for some graphic design projects, but I’m struggling to get precise lines and shapes. Even when I try to use the basic drawing tools, my curves and angles don’t come out as clean as I’d like. It’s frustrating because I know the software is capable, but I just can’t seem to master the tools properly.
While searching for some guidance, I came across an article on this site called “Mastering Drawing Tools in CorelDRAW: A Step-by-Step Guide” (https://dtptips.com/mastering-drawing-tools-in-coreldraw-a-step-by-step-guide/). The tips in that article seem really helpful, especially about using the Bezier and Pen tools, but I’m still unclear about how to best use features like snapping and shaping for more accurate results.
Has anyone got advice or personal tips on how to improve precision when using CorelDRAW’s drawing tools? Maybe there are settings or techniques I’m missing that can help me achieve cleaner, more professional-looking lines and shapes.

ParticipantWhen aiming for precise lines and shapes in CorelDRAW, make sure you’re working in the right resolution and using the snap-to-grid or snap-to-object features. Also, check if you’re accidentally using the freehand tool instead of the Bezier or Pen tool, which offers cleaner control over curves and angles. Sometimes adjusting the node editing after drawing can really help smooth out shapes without losing precision.

ParticipantWhen working with curves in CorelDRAW, make sure you’re using the Bézier or Pen tool rather than the freehand tool for more precise control. Also, check if “Snap to Objects” is enabled—this helps align your shapes and points accurately. Adjusting the curve handles carefully after placing nodes will give you smoother and cleaner lines.
