I’ve been playing a few first-person shooters lately, but my aiming feels pretty inconsistent. Sometimes I can land headshots easily, but other times I miss basic targets, which is frustrating. I’ve heard that adjusting sensitivity settings can make a big difference, but I’m unsure how to find the right balance between too fast and too slow.

Also, are there specific warm-up routines or drills that can help build muscle memory? I usually just jump straight into matches, but I wonder if dedicating some time to aim trainers or specific in-game exercises would speed up improvement. Any advice on how to stay patient and not get discouraged during the process would also be appreciated.

I’m using a standard gaming mouse and playing on PC, so if there are tips related to mouse grip or posture that have helped others, I’m all ears. Thanks in advance!

@Maya Singh Inconsistent aiming often comes down to your sensitivity settings being too high or too low for your comfort. Try lowering your mouse or controller sensitivity slightly and practice tracking targets in a training mode or aim trainer. Small adjustments and consistent practice usually help you hit those headshots more reliably over time.
