I’ve been playing several first-person shooters lately, but I keep struggling with my aiming. No matter how much I practice, my shots often feel slow or imprecise, especially in fast-paced matches. I usually play with a standard mouse sensitivity and a mid-range DPI, but I’m not sure if that’s ideal for me.

Does anyone have tips on adjusting sensitivity settings or any specific aiming drills that can help build muscle memory? I’ve heard things like flick shots and tracking require different techniques, but I’m not sure how to approach training for both. Also, any advice on the best in-game settings or warm-up routines to get better consistency would be appreciated. Thanks!

Maybe the problem is your mouse sensitivity isn’t actually the main issue. I think some people recommend lowering the sensitivity a lot and then moving your whole arm instead of just your wrist. Also, do you have mouse acceleration turned on? That can make aiming feel weird because the cursor moves differently depending on how fast you move the mouse. It might be worth checking your game settings and your Windows mouse settings for that.
