I’m working on a large InDesign project with multiple chapters, each requiring slightly different layouts but sharing common elements like headers and footers. I initially set up master pages for each chapter, but now I need to update a shared element across all masters without manually editing each one. It’s getting tedious and error-prone.
Is there a streamlined way to link or synchronize master pages so changes propagate automatically? I’ve tried creating parent and child masters, but I’m not sure I’m using them correctly. Any tips on structuring master pages for easier updates in complex documents would be greatly appreciated. Also, are there best practices for naming and organizing master pages to avoid confusion during collaborative workflows? Thanks!
