KeymasterHi, if you are planning to create school identity card in CorelDraw then here is one of the best tip you can use. In this I have explained the Print Merge of CorelDarw to create the School Identity cards for kids. In this we will also use a database to insert the required field like name class, father’s name address etc. and then let them automatically insert into seperate school id cards. Hope you will like this tip. And also don’t forget to subscribe my channel.

KeymasterHi…
This is nothing to do with print merge command… but you have to change format cells settings in excel as shown below
And in the next screen change the date settings as per your needs… this is nothing to do with system time and date… as shown below
Hope this will solve your problem…

Participant@Rakesh Bhardwaj When using Print Merge in CorelDraw for school ID cards, make sure your data source (like an Excel file) is correctly formatted and doesn’t have any empty rows or columns, as that can cause the merge to fail or skip records. Also, double-check that your CorelDraw version supports the exact Print Merge features you need—some older versions might have limitations with image placeholders or data types. If you want to include photos in each card, link the image paths properly in your data file, or you’ll end up with empty spaces in the merged output.

ParticipantTried following your tips on Print Merge in CorelDraw, but every time I try to import my Excel file, the data doesn’t link properly and the fields stay blank on the card layout. Not sure if it’s a version issue or if I missed a step, but I’ve been stuck here for hours and couldn’t get it to print correctly. Anyone else had this problem?

Participant@Rakesh Bhardwaj Just a quick note: the feature is called “Print Merge,” not “Print Merg e” as you mentioned. Also, make sure you’re using CorelDraw X7 or later for the best compatibility with Print Merge, as earlier versions might lack some useful options for merging data into your card layouts.

Participant@Rakesh Bhardwaj Maybe you need to prepare your data first in Excel or something before using the Print Merge feature in CorelDraw? I think it works like mail merge in Word, so your info like names and photos have to be in a spreadsheet. Then you link that file inside CorelDraw and it fills the cards automatically, but I’m not sure how to add pictures properly.

ParticipantUsing Print Merge in CorelDraw is definitely a smart approach for creating multiple ID cards efficiently. Just make sure your data source, like an Excel or CSV file, is properly formatted with all necessary fields matching the placeholders in your design. Also, double-check the print settings before merging to avoid any alignment issues on the cards. If you want to add barcodes or QR codes, you can automate that too by including those fields in your data source and using CorelDraw’s barcode tool linked to your merge fields.

ParticipantWhen using Print Merge in CorelDraw for school ID cards, make sure your data source file (usually a CSV or Excel sheet) is clean and formatted correctly without extra spaces or special characters in the field names. This helps avoid errors during the merge. Also, double-check that the version of CorelDraw you’re using supports the Print Merge feature properly—some older versions might have limited functionality or different menu layouts.
