Hi everyone, I’ve been having a frustrating issue with CorelDraw 2021 on my Windows 10 PC. Whenever I try to export a complex vector illustration to PDF, the program suddenly crashes without any error message. This typically happens when I select “Export for PDF/X-4” under the PDF presets, but smaller files seem to export just fine.

I’ve tried resetting the workspace and running the repair tool, but no luck so far. Also, I’m using a Wacom tablet, and I’m wondering if that might be interfering somehow. The project contains several layers with transparency and embedded images in PNG format. Has anyone encountered this before? Would adjusting specific export settings or updating GPU drivers help? Any advice would be appreciated!

CorelDraw 2021 acting up like that on export sounds all too familiar. I tried updating the software and even resetting the workspace, but it still crashes with complex files. For me, reducing the DPI in the export settings helped a little, but it’s definitely not a perfect fix and sometimes still crashes without warning. Super frustrating when there’s no error message to go on.

Crashing during PDF export in CorelDraw 2021 on complex vectors is often related to memory usage or certain effects that don’t export well. Try simplifying your artwork by breaking it into smaller parts and export them individually, then merge the PDFs later. Also, make sure your software is fully updated, as patches often fix export bugs. If that doesn’t help, try exporting to a different file format first, like EPS or SVG, and then convert to PDF using another tool.
