Hi everyone, I’ve been working on a project in Adobe Illustrator CC 2023 on my Windows 11 PC, and I’m running into an issue with exporting PNG files. When I try to export at 300 PPI using the “Export As” function, the output image remains at a much lower resolution than expected. I’ve double-checked the export settings, confirmed that “Use Artboards” is selected, and even tried saving through “Save for Web,” but the resolution problem persists.

I also noticed that when I open the exported PNG in Photoshop, it shows up with the dimensions of the artboard but seems blurry and pixelated, which shouldn’t happen at 300 PPI. Has anyone else experienced this? Could this be a bug in the latest update, or maybe a setting I’m missing related to the raster effects or document raster settings? Any tips on how to reliably export crisp, high-resolution PNGs from Illustrator would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

@Sanjay Sharma Tried exporting at 300 PPI using “Export As” on my Illustrator CC 2023 with Windows 11, and I noticed that sometimes the resolution setting doesn’t actually apply unless you pick “Use Artboards” first. Make sure that box is checked, then set 300 PPI, and it should export correctly. It worked for me after that tweak.

@Sanjay Sharma When exporting PNGs in Illustrator, the 300 PPI setting usually comes into play when you use the “Export for Screens” option rather than “Export As.” Make sure you check the resolution settings there, as “Export As” might default to 72 PPI regardless of what you input. If you really need 300 PPI, try exporting via “Export for Screens” and set the scale or resolution accordingly.
