Hi everyone, I recently updated my Google Pixel 6 to Android 13, and since then I’ve noticed a significant battery drain. Before the update, my phone would last all day with moderate use, but now it barely makes it past noon. I’ve checked the battery usage in settings, and it shows “Android System” and “Android OS” as the top consumers, which seems unusual.
I’ve tried rebooting, resetting app preferences, and disabling some background app refreshes, but nothing has made a real difference. Do any of you know if this is a common issue with Android 13 on Pixel devices? Also, are there any specific settings or troubleshooting steps that could help reduce this abnormal battery consumption? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe Android 13 changed some background settings that use more power? I think I read somewhere that new versions can reset app permissions or change how often apps update in the background. Could try checking if some apps are running too much or if location services are always on after the update. Not sure if that helps though!
